Almazora Motors Corporation is a Filipino automotive body manufacturing company founded in 1900, originally based in Biñan, Laguna, Philippines. The company specializes in the production of commercial vehicle bodies, particularly for buses and medium to heavy-duty trucks, as well as providing body-building services for various vehicle chassis. The corporation was established in 1993 and is now headquartered in Carmona, Cavite.

History

Almazora Motors Corporation was initially established in 1900 under the name Carroceria de Almazora, based in Biñan, Laguna. The company began as a small-scale vehicle manufacturing and repair operation, focusing on the production of kalesas (traditional horse-drawn carriages) and carrozas (large, ornate floats used in religious processions).

As motorized vehicles gained popularity, the company shifted its focus to the production of jardineras, modified military trucks that were used primarily for passenger transport. Jardineras became the original buses in the Philippines, particularly in rural areas where public transport was limited. These vehicles were known for their durability and capacity to carry a large number of passengers, playing a vital role in the development of public transportation in the country.

In 1993, the company was officially incorporated as Almazora Motors Corporation and moved its operations to Carmona, Cavite, to accommodate its expanding manufacturing facilities. Today, the company continues to specialize in body-building services for chassis from major manufacturers like Isuzu, Mitsubishi, Fuso, Hino, Hyundai, Kia, Foton, MAN, Mercedes Benz, and Volkswagen.

The company also partnered with Isuzu and Mitsubishi[1] to manufacture modernized public utility vehicles.[2][3] They also partnered with BEMAC Electric Transportation Philippines to produce electric tricycles.[4]
