Career
Formula 4
David made his single-seater debut in the 2024 Formula 4 UAE Championship with Saintéloc Racing, he scored no points and placed 26th in the standings, with a best finish of 13th place.[1]
His main campaign lied in the F4 Spanish Championship with Saintéloc.[2] Competing in all rounds bar the season finale in Barcelona, David took two seventh place finishes throughout the season and ended his campaign 19th overall.
In October, David participated in the FIA Motorsport Games Formula 4 Cup.[3] He took pole position in qualifying,[4] but dropped to third in the qualification race after a battle with Peru's Andrés Cárdenas.[5] He would finish third on the road again in the main race but a series of time penalties for track limits demoted him to 11th place.[6]
Eurocup-3
David competed in a one-off round during the 2024 Eurocup-3 season with Saintéloc Racing to replace an injured Finley Green; he finished the races tenth and seventh.[7]
Euroformula Open
2024
David competed in the final round of the 2024 Euroformula Open Championship with Team Motopark as a guest driver.[8] He had an outstanding debut, taking his first single-seater victories in race 1 and race 3, whilst earning a third-place finish in race 2.[9]
2025
David continued in the Euroformula Open full-time in 2025, remaining with Team Motopark.[10]
GB3
In August 2025, David made his GB3 debut in Silverstone with Xcel Motorsport.[11]
FIA Formula 3
In 2026, David will progress to Formula 3 with AIX Racing, becoming the first Sri Lankan to race in the FIA Formula 3 Championship.[12]
