Octavio Pisano
Octavio Pisano is a Mexican American actor.[1] He formerly played Joe Velasco on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, and before that, he appeared in Coyote and the indie film Ms. Purple.[2] He has also appeared in one episode of the Law & Order: Organized Crime spin-off.[3] He was promoted to series regular in SVU after his first three appearances.[4] The character of Velasco was introduced in the 23rd season of SVU as an undercover cop from Ciudad Juarez.[5]
From 2014 to 2017, he starred as Julius Escada Jr. in the Oprah Winfrey Network prime-time soap opera If Loving You Is Wrong. In 2019, Pisano was cast in the ABC reboot of New York Undercover.[6] In 2021, he starred in the Paramount+ crime drama series Coyote.
