Fadzilah Mohd Ali (born 11 January 1972), or better known as Didie Alias, is a Malaysian comedian, actress, host and singer. He began his career in acting in 1991. Among his earliest films were the action films Boss and Kanta Serigala before becoming active on TV.

    Early life

Didie Alias was born in Durian Tunggal, Melaka, and has 7 siblings. Didie attended SMK Convent Bukit Nanas with actress Vanidah Imran and was very active as a long-distance athlete. After SPM, Didie took a short course at Kolej Kasturi and worked part-time at McDonalds.

The history of the name Didie Alias began with the name Didie given by her adoptive sister at school and Alias by actress Rosyam Nor in her first film "Boss".

    Career

Didie's involvement in the acting world began after she made a name for herself in the modeling and commercial fields. Didie once participated in the monthly Dewi Remaja selection organized by Majalah Remaja in 1990 and won second place. She was then proposed to by Berjaya Film to star in a film directed by Hussein Abu Hassan titled Kanta Serigala alongside Rosyam Nor and Faizal Hussein. Didie's face, which resembles Pan-Asian, really managed to attract the attention of many.

Since then, Didie began to gain popularity as an actress who tended to act in action films. However, when her popularity began to increase, Didie decided to marry a very popular actor at the time, Ridzuan Hashim in 1992. Finally, Didie had to temporarily sacrifice her acting career to pay attention to her family.

Didie appeared in many TV dramas that did not require much commitment compared to films. Her acting often received praise and was even proven when she was nominated twice for the Screen Awards.

    Divorce and temporary retirement

In 2002, Didie and Ridzuan decided to divorce and Didie was the mother of 5 children at the time. Since then, Didie began to distance herself from the field of art due to frequent questions about the reason for the divorce of the popular artist couple.

Didie had gone through difficult times to the point of living in a corner of the kitchen of her friend's house after the divorce.[1] Didie had to stay at her friend's house who was just renting a room in the apartment to earn a living and continue her life. Thanks to her friend's help, Didie managed to get a position as a Marketing Officer. With that salary, Didie began to support her children and save to build a better life.

Trying to raise five children, namely Nur Dhaniyah (born 1993), Mohd. Dhanial (1994), Nurdinie (1996), Nur Dayini Ahza (1998), and Nur Diana (1999), Didie, along with her sister, Farah and a partner (Norisham Ismail, now her husband), raised RM20,000 to open Didie's Entertainment & Management in 2003.

As a host and host of events, Didie was not only able to raise children but also own her own home.

    Back to the entertainment world

Since appearing in the drama Labuna Labuni which was filmed in late 2004 with comedian Alliza 'Enot' Abdullah, Didie's name began to be mentioned among fellow artists, especially when she was nominated for Best Comedy Actress at the 2006 Seri Angkasa Awards, putting her in a row with names such as Jasmin Hamid, Nik Sayyidah Fatihah and Sheila Rusly. And since then, offers for her to act have come non-stop.

At that time, Didie was not only busy acting but was also given the responsibility of filming coordinator for the drama Takdir Yang Terindah, a 30-episode drama produced by Suhan Movies and serving as production manager for her good friend Sheila Rusly's production company.

Working a lot behind the scenes for dramas produced by Rosyam Nor and Sheila Rusly, Didie finally began to dare to act more actively. Now Didie's name is back on the lips of fans and has even started to make a name for herself as a popular comedy actress.

    Friendship with Erra Fazira

When starring in the telefilm Pontianak Kampung Batu in 2010, Didie opened up about her friendship with Malay film diva Erra Fazira which has been established since the actress first entered the film world. Didie, who was excited to be working with Erra in the drama, said that once upon a time, she and Erra often shared stories and problems, and their relationship as peers was very close. However, since the actress gained popularity as the most popular actress in Malaysia while Didie continued her life as a wife and then a single mother; each took their own path.

Didie, however, denied that there was a misunderstanding between them, instead saying that the friendship had grown apart without them realizing it because at one point both of them took different paths in their careers. Didie and Erra's relationship has now become close again since Didie returned to being active on the acting stage. Now Didie is back to being friends with Erra Fazira after starring in the drama Kelas Kau Maria directed by Michael Ang.

    Personal life

Didie returned to being a wife when she was married to former Negeri Sembilan footballer, Norisham Ismail on 8 May 2009. The authenticity of the news, which was initially doubtful, was however answered when entertainment journalists managed to get Didie's confession at the end of June 2009, complete with pictures of her romantic holiday in Jakarta a week after getting married.

Didie and Norisham's simple wedding ceremony, which took place at the Keramat Religious Office, was only attended by family, children and close friends. The lack of time and a very tight schedule caused the couple to decide to do only what was necessary, and the media was not even informed about the happy news.

Didie actually worked a lot with Norisham, managing the production of the short drama Mangsa dan Pemburu for the reality program Pilih Kasih published by Rosyam Nor. The couple, who also shared capital to develop the event management company they had been working on since 2003, said that their introduction was arranged by close friends. Compatibility began to be felt after a few months of getting to know each other. Although unable to shake off her fear and phobia of getting hurt again, Didie finally accepted the sincerity of her husband, who was 3 years younger than her.

Didie and Norisham participated in the reality show Sehati Berdansa Season 3 in 2009 and came in third place. The TV show saw celebrity couples dance to raise funds for charities.

Didie is also the aunt of Uzairi Taib, an influencer.

Popularity of the duo 1 vs 0

The pairing of the skinny Didie and the plump Enot created a phenomenon of its own. These two comedians often appeared together in many comedy dramas after the success of Labuna Labuni. The two of them became good friends after often acting together. Most recently, Didie and Enot were also paired as hosts in the latest game show on Astro Warna (channel 132), namely Kalau Berani 1 VS 0 which began broadcasting on 16 July 2009, Thursday, 9.30 pm.
