Adam Handling Chocolate Shop is a boutique chocolate and confectionery shop located in Covent Garden, London.[1] It is part of the Adam Handling Restaurant Collection, which includes several restaurants and bars in the United Kingdom.[2] The shop opened in March 2025 and offers chocolate products made using single-variety cacao from regions including India, Peru, and Madagascar.[3]
History
The chocolate shop is located at 17 Maiden Lane in Covent Garden.[4] Its opening marked an expansion of the Adam Handling Collection, which includes other venues including Frog by Adam Handling and Eve Bar in London, The Loch & the Tyne in Old Windsor, Ugly Butterfly, and The Tartan Fox in Cornwall,[5] and was the first British Michelin-starred chef-owned chocolate shop.[1]
Products
The shop offers a range of chocolate-based products including hand-painted bonbons, truffles, florentines, chocolate nut spreads, cookies and dipped fruits and nuts.[6] It also features a counter for hot chocolate, serving a variety of blends.[7]
The shop sources single-variety cacao from select regions and works with suppliers such as Xoco Gourmet.[3] Some of the chocolate is produced on-site, with beans roasted and ground at the shop.[8] The cacao beans are fermented, then processed in London using methods that emphasize traceability and origin.[3]
Presentation
Chocolate items, including hand-painted bonbons, are offered in various packaging formats such as boxed assortments or display collections.[9] Gift sets include up to 21 flavor varieties, with seasonal and signature editions available.[10][6]
